Chocolate brownies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated white sugar (or SugarTwin® Granulated White)
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2/3 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • Baker’s Joy® non-stick baking spray with flour

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix together flour, granulated white sugar (or SugarTwin® Spoonable White), cocoa powder, salt, baking powder, baking soda and chocolate chips. Set aside. In a separate bowl, mix together melted butter, eggs, vanilla and applesauce. Add flour mixture to egg mixture. Stir batter until smooth. Spray an 8” x 8” baking pan with Baker’s Joy® spray. Spread batter into pan, smoothing top. Bake for 15 minutes or until batter is edging away from sides of pan and middle is slightly soft. Let cool slightly and cut into sixteen squares.
Makes 16 Servings.
